ROCKET J. (ROCKY) SQUIRREL (As Himself), who turned 40 on September 29, 1999, makes his motion picture debut in the film after first endearing television viewers with his eponymous network show, Rocky and His Friends, on ABC-TV.
Rocky hails from Frostbite Falls, Minnesota. Educated in private schools, Rocky majored in snare drums at Juilliard before completing studies at Cal Tech (that’s Calvin’s School of Supermarket Technology, according to authorized biographer Louis Chunovic).

He is the official mascot of the 319th Garbage Disposal Wing, and his portrait hangs prominently in the Farmers’ and Swineherds’ National Bank in his hometown. Like all squirrels, he has a penchant for collecting nuts -- witness his partner, Bullwinkle.
