After serving in the Air Force during World War II, Jay completed his Harvard MBA. He then returned to Berkeley. There, he knew that he wanted to "do something" for that new emerging medium called…television. In 1949, Jay teamed with his childhood friend, Alex Anderson (nephew of Paul Terry of Terrytoons Cartoons). Finally, they came up with the idea of "Crusader Rabbit" - the first cartoon series, designed and produced for television!
